Message from the Principal

The principal AJ Malis - A man with short, dark hair smiles at the camera.

At Amphi High, we’re dedicated to fostering both academic achievement and personal growth. High school is a time for exploring interests, building independence, and developing a strong sense of self, and your support at home helps make that possible.

Here are a few key ways to continue supporting your teen’s success:

  • Encourage routine and responsibility: A regular study schedule and organized workspace can build habits that last beyond high school.
  • Promote reading and discussion: Engaging with news, books, or articles helps build critical thinking, an essential skill for college and career.
  • Monitor screen time: Help your student set limits on recreational screen use so they can stay focused on priorities.
  • Acknowledge effort: Recognize the work your teen puts in, even when outcomes aren’t perfect.
  • Prioritize wellness: Teens perform best when they’re well-rested, well-nourished, and emotionally supported.
  • Stay in communication: Use ParentSquare to check in with teachers and counselors about academic progress, college planning, and more.

We’re proud of our students and excited for what lies ahead. Please reach out anytime—we’re here to support both you and your student through this important journey.

All the best,

AJ Malis
